Richmond, Virginia's capitol, is approximately 40 miles to the south and has many areas of interest for the entire family.  40 miles to the north  is Fredericksburg with many Civil War and Colonial Era historical sites and battlefields.  Paramount’s Kings Dominion, which is located just a 1/2 hour drive from Lake Holly, is a large amusement park with 10 breathtaking roller coasters, including Volcano and The Blast Coaster, plus a new 16-acre WaterWorks water park. Exit 98 off I-95.
